Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Foundation
In 2001, BCBSMA created a new charitable organization - the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Foundation - as a contemporary expression of its historic commitment to those in need of dependable access to health care. Their mission is to expand access to health care. Through grants and policy initiatives, the Foundation works with public and private organizations to broaden health coverage and reduce barriers to care. The Foundation focuses on developing measurable and sustainable solutions that benefit uninsured, vulnerable and low-income individuals and families in the Commonwealth.
Boston Private Industry Council
The Boston Private Industry Council (PIC) is a public-private partnership that connects business, the Boston Public Schools, higher education, government, labor, and community organizations to create innovative workforce and education solutions. The PIC is the connection between education and workforce, between school and career, and between classroom and the workplace. PIC initiatives thrive on the synergy created when business and community needs overlap. The result is a win-win situation: Businesses develop the workforce they need and Boston residents gain access to career opportunities and higher incomes.
Think Again Video
This video presents views about school dropout from the perspective of those who have dropped out. It is being made widely available, including through U-Tube, to increase understanding among a wide audience about the underlying issues contributing to school dropout.

The Boston Public Health Commission is an independent public agency comprised of a variety of preventive health services. Their mission is to protect, promote, and preserve the health and well-being of all Boston residents, particularly the most vulnerable.
Brigham And Women's Hospital (sponsors *Brookside Community Health Center)
Recognized internationally for its excellence in patient care, its outstanding reputation in biomedical research, and its commitment to educating and training physicians, research scientists and other health care professionals, Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) is a 747-bed teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School located in the heart of Boston's renowned Longwood Medical Area. Along with its modern inpatient facilities, BWH boasts extensive outpatient services and clinics, neighborhood primary care health centers, state-of-the art diagnostic and treatment technologies and research laboratories.
Bureau of Jewish Education of Greater Boston
The Bureau of Jewish Education of Greater Boston (BJE) promotes the planning and adoption of seamless lifelong Jewish learning in congregations, day schools, and other educational settings. The BJE focuses its resources on building the capacity of professional and lay leaders to develop new ideas and implement high quality formal and informal educational programs for children and families and evaluating its impact. The BJE facilitates the recruitment, preparation and retention of Jewish educators. Based on research and its associations with local, national and international agencies and institutions, the BJE explores new program models, designing, refining, and implementing innovative practices. The BJE is a member of the School Health Collaborative, a collaboration of six organizations advocating for adequate funding for school-based health services.
Cambridge Health Alliance is an academic public health system that is helping people live better lives. Based in Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston’s metro-north region, Cambridge Health Alliance provides patient care, education, and outreach in hospitals, health centers, schools, community centers, and through some very special programs, right in people’s homes.
Cape Cod Healthcare is the leading provider of healthcare services for residents and visitors of Cape Cod. With more than 400 physicians, 4,000 employees, and 1,000 volunteers, Cape Cod Healthcare has two-acute care hospitals, the largest home health services agency on the Cape (VNA), skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities, an assisted living facility and numerous health programs.
Center for Community Health, Education, Research and Service (CCHERS)
CCHERS is a unique academic/community partnership established in 1991 committed to the wholesale effort to influence and change health professions education, improve health care delivery, and promote health systems change. Its goal is to integrate education, service and research to eliminate persistent disparities in health of racial and ethnic minorities by ensuring health access, equity and justice.
The Codman Square Health Center is a community-based, outpatient health care and multi-service center. Codman Square Health Center’s goal is promote a culture of health in the community.

The mission of the Community Health Center of Franklin County, Inc. is to maintain a community owned, responsive health center which promotes public health and well-being, and provides comprehensive preventive and primary care services to all who need or desire such services, without regard to income, insurance status, ability to pay, or past medical history.
Their mission is: To be an essential resource for our community in its efforts to achieve the highest levels of health, well-being and quality of life for its residents. To provide affordable, accessible and exceptional health care and other essential services in an environment that respects our consumers, staff and diverse community. Dorchester House strives to be a leading force for change in the health, economic and social well-being of our community.
*East Boston Neighborhood Health Center
The East Boston Neighborhood Health Center has been a vital part of the community for over 35 years. From the beginning, their services and development have been defined by the needs of East Boston and the communities they serve.
*Family Health Center of Worcester, Inc.
Since 1970, Family Health Center of Worcester, Inc. has offered comprehensive primary care, urgent care, dental, mental health, health education, and outreach and social services to the low-income and culturally diverse populations. Family Health Center of Worcester, Inc. oversees six school health centers at Claremont and Woodland Academies (formerly the Accelerated Learning Laboratory), Doherty High School, Dr. Arthur F. Sullivan Middle School, the Goddard School of Science and Technology/University Park Campus School, South High Community School, and the Helen A. Bowditch Health Center at Elm Park Community School, which is the state’s first school-based health center to provide health services for both the students in the school and to the community after school and during the evening.
*Great Brook Valley Health Center
The Great Brook Valley Health Center is a comprehensive, multicultural, community health center with medical, dental, and mental health services, available to families and individuals of all ages. They pay special attention to chronic disease management, including HIV/AIDS and cardiovascular diseases. Our services include care at the health center, hospital, nursing home, and home visits. Care is coordinated with other local agencies such as home health and hospice.
*Greater Lawrence Family Health Center (GLFHC)
GLFHC makes a difference by offering preventative care, health education, integrated clinical and social services, and affordable quality medical care. Our programs are designed to address the needs in our community and eliminate existing health disparities.
Health Care For All’s mission is to create a consumer-centered health care system that provides comprehensive, affordable, accessible, culturally competent, high quality care and consumer education for everyone, especially the most vulnerable. Health Care for All works to achieve its mission as leaders in public policy, advocacy, education and service to consumers in Massachusetts.
Heywood Hospital is a community-oriented and supported not-for-profit acute care hospital governed by a local Board of Trustees. Our mission reflects the views and ideals of, and is upheld by, our trustees, incorporators, employees, physicians, and volunteers.

Since the Center opened in 1974, it has remained true to its mission but has changed to reflect the needs of its users and of residents of Allston/Brighton, Waltham and surrounding communities. The spirit and enthusiasm upon which the 'neighborhood' center was founded is evident in the Center's approach to its delivery of health care services to each individual who walks through its doors. *Lowell Community Health Center
Lowell Community Health Center is located in the city of Lowell in northern Massachusetts. The Health Center is a diverse, community-based health care agency with non-profit 501(c)(3) status. Lowell Community Health Center programs have been recognized as national models. The Health Center was also named one of the top five health centers in the nation for excellence in cultural competency. The Health Center serves the many communities of Greater Lowell with multi-lingual staff who speak over sixteen languages.
Since 1971, Lynn Community Health Center has offered comprehensive primary care, urgent care, dental, mental health, health education, and outreach and social services to everyone in the Greater Lynn community, regardless of ability to pay. Lynn Community Health Center oversees six school-based health centers at Breed Middle School, Ingalls School, Lynn English High School, Lynn Classical High School, Lynn Vocational Technical Institute, and Marshall Middle School.
Massachusetts Association of Community Health Workers
The Massachusetts Association of Community Health Workers (MACHW) is a statewide network of community health workers (CHWs) from all disciplines. MACHW was founded in March 2000 to enable CHWs to lead the movement to organize, define and strengthen the profession of community health work. MACHW’s mission is to strengthen the professional identify of community health workers CHWs; Foster leadership among CHWs; and Promote the integration of CHWs into the health care, public health and human service workforce. MACHW achieves its mission through education, research, policy development and advocacy.
Massachusetts Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development (MASCD)
The MASCD calls on parents, educators, policymakers, and communities to join forces to ensure our children become productive, engaged citizens.

Massachusetts Chapter American Academy of Pediatrics
The members of the Massachusetts Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics are physicians dedicated to improving the quality of life for children by providing quality health care and advocating for them and their families. The Massachusetts Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics is committed to the attainment of optimal physical, mental and social health for all infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. To this end, the members of the Academy dedicate their efforts and resources.
Massachusetts Dental Hygienists’ Association
The Massachusetts Dental Hygienists' Association (MDHA) mission is to improve the public's total health, and to advance the art and science of dental hygiene by ensuring access to quality oral health care, increasing awareness of the cost-effective benefits of prevention, promoting the highest standards of dental hygiene education, licensure, practice and research, and representing and promoting the interests of dental hygienists.
Massachusetts Department of Public Health School-Based Health Center Program
The School-Based Health Center Program, administered by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health since 1989, has become an integral part of the health care delivery system for children in Massachusetts. Currently, MDPH funds 21 sponsoring agencies (hospitals, community health centers and local health departments) that operate 47 school-based health centers, which function as satellite outpatient clinics.
Massachusetts Health Council (MHC) is a non-profit, non-partisan statewide organization of more than 150 governmental and voluntary agencies, consumer and advocacy groups, professional societies, and private corporations committed to improving and protecting the health of the residents of the Commonwealth. MHC provides a forum whereby health care leaders -- often from opposite sides of health policy issues -- come together to make a difference in improving health. Membership is open to Massachusetts statewide organizations.
MGH Institute of Health Professions
An affiliate of the Massachusetts General Hospital and a member of the Partners HealthCare System, the MGH Institute is an interdisciplinary graduate school that prepares skilled health care specialists The Institute educates health care professionals to become leaders in their disciplines. The mission includes fostering an interdisciplinary and diverse educational community by: Integrating academic and clinical curricula; Expanding and refining the scientific basis for health care through teaching, research and scholarship; Developing innovative educational approaches; and Contributing to new models of practice to foster effective, affordable and ethical health care.

Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers
The Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers (“the League”) is a statewide association representing and serving the needs of the state's 52 community health centers. The League provides a wide range of technical assistance to its members and communities, including: Analysis of state and federal health regulatory and policy issues affecting health centers; Training and Education for health center administrators, clinicians and board members; Workforce Development initiatives to increase recruitment of primary care physicians and to provide career training for both current health center employees and local residents seeking entry-level positions at health centers; Information Technology Development primarily focused on electronic medical records implementation; and Support to Expand Health Access through work with local health and advocacy organizations seeking to open health centers in their communities. The League also serves as an Information Source on community-based health care to policymakers, opinion leaders and the media.
Massachusetts Nurses Association
Founded in 1903, the Massachusetts Nurses Association (MNA) is the largest professional health care association and the largest union of registered nurses in Massachusetts. The MNA makes it possible for nurses to take an active role in decisions made in the practice, health care reform, legislative and economic arenas - decisions that directly influence the profession of nursing. The MNA is also a member of the School Health Collaborative, a collaboration of six organizations advocating for adequate funding for school-based health services.
Massachusetts Organization of Nurse Executives
The Massachusetts Organization of Nurse Executives (MONE) represents over 625 nursing leaders from diverse practices across the Commonwealth. The members employ, manage, and influence in excess of 40,000 nurses and health care workers. Additionally, they administer operating budgets of over $1 billion annually. The mission of MONE is to provide direction and leadership for the advancement of professional nursing and patient care and for the achievement of excellence in nursing management practice. MONE is an affiliate of the American Organization of Nurse Executives. MONE is also a member of the School Health Collaborative, a collaboration of six organizations advocating for adequate funding for school-based health services.
Massachusetts Public Health Association
The Massachusetts Public Health Association (MPHA) is a statewide membership organization of people working to protect the health and safety of all our Commonwealth’s residents. Founded in 1879, MPHA is the oldest public health organization in the nation, and a leading affiliate of the American Public Health Association. MPHA is also a member of the School Health Collaborative, a collaboration of six organizations advocating for adequate funding for school-based health services.
Massachusetts School Nurses Organization
Founded in 1970, the Massachusetts School Nurses Organization (MSNO) has been a strong voice for school nurses throughout the Commonwealth. MSNO is a growing non-profit organization with approximately 800 members, including school nurses, school administrators, public health nurses, practitioners, consultants, educators, and retired school nurses. MSNO’s mission is to promote and advance quality school health services throughout the Commonwealth and promote the rights, interests and professional growth of its members. Members are encouraged to take an active stance in decisions directly impacting school nursing, especially in the legislative, economic, and educational arenas. MSNO is a member of the School Health Collaborative, a collaboration of six organizations advocating for adequate funding for school-based health services.
MGH Community Health Associates
Through providing programmatic support, clinical supervision, fiscal grant management oversight, and technical assistance for four MGH community health centers serving Charlestown, Chelsea, Everett, and Revere, MGH Community Health Associates is committed to delivering comprehensive, high quality, primary and preventive health services to low income, uninsured and underserved populations who live and work in our communities.

Mattapan Community Health Center (MCHC) is a comprehensive health delivery organization that has been growing and developing with our community since 1972. The mission of Mattapan Community Health Center is to improve the quality of life for residents of Mattapan and surrounding communities by providing comprehensive, accessible, affordable, and culturally appropriate community health care services, including primary and preventive health services.
*Milford Regional Medical Center
A full-service, community and regional teaching hospital, Milford Regional is a 121-bed, nonprofit, acute-care facility serving a region of 20-plus towns. With close to 200 physicians on our active medical staff and an additional 100 courtesy or consulting physicians, patients are assured of receiving high-quality care in multiple specialties. Our physicians are skilled in the most advanced procedures and technology, and provide personalized patient care in a warm and caring environment. Many hold teaching appointments at New England’s finest medical schools, preparing the doctors of tomorrow.

Morton Hospital and Medical Center is a 152-bed hospital primarily concerned with maintaining and restoring the health of people who live or work in the central part of Southeastern Massachusetts. It subsidizes such services as necessary within its financial capabilities. Morton Hospital and Medical Center’s mission is to improve the health status of our communities by providing access to comprehensive, high quality, compassionate and efficient health care services.
National Assembly on School-Based Health Care
The National Assembly on School-Based Health Care (NASBHC) is committed to promoting and supporting school-based health centers to assure that all children receive high quality, comprehensive health care. The MA Coalition of School-based Health Centers is a state chapter of the National Assembly on School-Based Health Care.
Northeast Hospital Corporation
Northeast Hospital Corporation (NHC) represents the acute care hospitals – Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester; BayRidge Hospital (psychiatric) in Lynn; and Beverly Hospital in Beverly. There are three outpatient facilities – Beverly Hospital at Danvers, Medical and Day Surgery Center; Beverly Hospital Hunt Center in Danvers; and Beverly Hospital Cable Center in Ipswich.
Northeast Hospital System (NHS) provides comprehensive, quality patient care through an efficient system of acute care, behavioral health, long-term care and senior living facilities. NHS is the largest provider of health and human services in Essex County, Massachusetts with 4,000 employees and a medical staff of nearly 600 physicians.
North Shore Community Health, Inc., with locations in Salem and Peabody with a soon to be open site in Gloucester, provides care for you and your family at all stages, from before birth and throughout childhood to adults and elders. As a community health center, they provide both health and dental care and offer more services than typical medical offices. They offer translation services, financial counseling and health education. They are governed by a Board of Directors that includes patients like you, which gives us a link to the community and helps them provide all the services you need.
The mission of the Oral Health Foundation is to support and promote optimal oral health. The Oral Health Foundation is dedicated to substantially improving the oral health, and therefore the quality of life, of the residents in the areas served by DSM and its subsidiaries.
Parents Alliance for Catholic Education
Partners HealthCare was founded in 1994 by Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. Partners is an integrated health care system that offers patients a continuum of coordinated high-quality care. The system includes primary care and specialty physicians, community hospitals, the two founding academic medical centers, specialty facilities, community health centers, and other health-related entities. Partners HealthCare is a non-profit organization.

River Valley Counseling Center, Inc. (RVCC) is a multi-service agency in Hampden County, MA, with a 50 year history of changing lives and empowering our communities.
Tobacco Free Mass advocates for policy that advances tobacco prevention and cessation to reduce tobacco use, the leading cause of preventable death and disease in the Commonwealth, and decrease the public's exposure to secondhand smoke.
VISIONS Inc. is a nonprofit enterprise that provides training and consultation to organizations, communities and individuals seeking to achieve greater effectiveness in a multicultural setting. The unique, research-based VISIONS training model helps overcome barriers to communication, relationship-building and organizational development caused by cultural misunderstandings and apprehensions.
Watch Your Mouth Coalition - A Children's Oral Health Campaign
The Watch Your Mouth Coalition is working in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine to make children’s oral health a priority. The objectives of the Watch Your Mouth Coalition are to educate the public that tooth decay is a disease, and is the most common childhood disease; Educate the public about the connection between oral disease and diminished school performance; Educate the public about the connection between oral health and overall health; Advocate for wider access to preventive services, such as dental sealants and fluoride, and regular dental exams for all children; Engage citizens to speak up for children’s oral health .
W.K. Kellogg Foundation School-Based Policy Program
The W.K. Kellogg Foundation created the School-Based Health Care Policy Program to fund stat associations so that school-based health care will be financially stable, available, and accessible to children and families, and supported as a consumer-centered model of quality care throughout the United States. The MA Coalition of School-Based Health Centers receives funding through this initiative.
Youth on Board helps young people and adults think differently about each other so that they can work together to change society. They work to: Change attitudes and strengthen relationships among young people; Support young people to be an active force for change in all aspects of their lives; and ensure that policies, practices, and laws reflect young people's role as full and valued members of their communities.
